Tournaments and Ladders at the RCTA

The RCTA runs a series of tournaments every season. These events are friendly competitions meant to give members the opportunity to test their skills in match play.

Ladders are season-long competitions in which players join at the bottom “rung” of an existing list of participants, challenging those higher up and playing up to the top “rung of the ladder in hopes of qualifying for the fall playoffs and winning the title!

RCTA Membership is required to register for competitions – Join the RCTA Here or by visiting Join the RCTA in the red top bar of the page.  Member dues are $60 per year and grant you access to all RCTA programs for 365 days regardless of when in the year you join.

Tournaments

Registration for 2025 Tournaments is open now!  The entry fee is $35 per player.  September and October tournaments are not yet open.

Tournaments take place over the course of one weekend, unless otherwise noted.  If rain interferes, play will continue the following weekend.  Participants should be free for the entire weekend (within reason) and the following weekend to ensure completion of matches.  Match times and format details are announced a few days before the start date and will vary depending on the size of the field.

Players with tournament matches may not use walk-on courts on the same day; doing so may result in forfeiting your match.

Ladders

The ladder is a ranking system; players try to move up the ladder by challenging higher-ranked players to a match. If the challenger wins the match, they move up to the opponent’s spot.

Registration is open for 2025 Ladders!  Players may join anytime before August 31 and must be current RCTA members.  The entry fee is $35 for the season.

2024 Women’s Ladder Champion:  Rebecca Poulose
